FAQ

What if I’ve never ordered concrete before?

No problem — we help first-timers every day. We’ll walk you through:

  • What PSI to use
  • Whether a pump is needed

How to prep your site (frame it, level the ground, and ensure access)

What are finishers and do you provide them?

Finishers are skilled workers who spread, level, smooth, and texture the concrete after it’s poured. They ensure the slab is even, properly sloped, and has a clean finish — whether it's broomed, troweled, or stamped.

We don’t provide finishing labor directly, but we’ll gladly refer a trusted local finisher if you don’t already have someone. This is especially helpful for homeowners, small crews, or anyone not experienced with working concrete.

💡 If you’re pouring more than 1–2 yards and don’t have a crew, we strongly recommend hiring a finisher to make sure your project turns out great.

What is a pump truck?

A pump truck is a vehicle that uses long hoses to move concrete from the mixer truck to hard-to-reach areas.

You’ll need a pump truck if:

  • The mixer truck can’t get close enough to pour directly
  • The concrete needs to go over fences, up stairs, or down hills
  • The pour site is in a backyard or behind a building

There are two types:

  • Line Pump: Uses long, flexible hoses — ideal for small jobs and tight spaces
  • Boom Pump: Uses a large arm to lift and place concrete — great for reaching over obstacles or into high areas

We’ll help you decide if a pump is needed and coordinate everything for you.

💡 If your pour site is more than 10–12 feet from the truck, you’ll likely need a pump truck.

Can the truck pour without a pump?

Yes — if the pour site is within 10–12 feet of where the truck can back in, it can pour straight from the mixer truck’s chute. This is common for front driveways or open-access slabs.

What do I need to do before delivery?

Before the truck or pump arrives:

    • Frame the area with wood
    • Level and compact the ground
    • Make sure the site is accessible by truck or pump hose
    • Have a crew ready if you’re finishing the concrete yourself

How do I pay?
